Pipol ("we", "us", "our") operates pipolhr.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and authentication credentials. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our billing partner (Polar) processes your payment information — we do not store credit card details.

Notion Data

When you connect your Notion workspace, we access the databases you authorize (job listings, applications, company profile). We only read and write data necessary to operate the Service. Your Notion OAuth token is stored encrypted using AES-256-GCM.

Job Applicant Data

When candidates apply through your career site, we collect the information defined in your application forms (e.g., name, email, resume, cover letter, custom fields). This data is stored in your Notion workspace.

Usage Data

We automatically collect basic usage data including page views, IP addresses, browser type, and referring URLs. We use this data to improve the Service and diagnose issues.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To process your subscription and payments
  • To sync data between our platform and your Notion workspace
  • To send transactional emails (account verification, billing notices)
  • To improve the Service and fix bugs
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

  • Notion — workspace integration and data storage for job listings and applications
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and backend infrastructure
  • Polar — subscription billing and payment processing
  • Vercel — hosting and deployment

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session and preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Job applicant data stored in your Notion workspace is under your control and subject to your own data retention practices.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypting sensitive credentials (e.g., Notion tokens) at rest, using HTTPS for all communications, and following security best practices. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
